Admissions to nursing courses are up by a third among school leavers according to Charlotte Lytton in this weekend's Telegraph, raising further questions about the viability of traditional academic degrees in a post-Covid world:
"Needing a university degree for a vocational career may seem curious. More curious, though, is the “need” for a generic university degree that fills three years in the most expensive way imaginable without so much as the suggestion of employment at the end of it."
